Don’t blame apartheid, blame Zuma

This is probably the wisest words I’ve heard ever coming from the mouth of our President, I wonder who wrote it? This is what he said/read:

“We will not be able to blame apartheid if villages still have no water, no electricity, no roads. We will not be able to blame anyone else if children still study under trees, if houses and schools are falling apart.”

So the question is, who do we blame then? You are pointing the finger at yourself Mr. President. You are the one who is not delivering on all your promises.

He also decided to share his HIV status, “after careful consideration”, which seems to be negative.

I’m sorry Mr President, but you need to start delivering on some of the things you so boldly claim, before I get an ounce of respect for you. Domkop of the week!

Our President & Malema.

Zuma

Our President was in the UK recently trying to convince the English to show Zimbabwe some love. Well… that and what else? Seeing as that ain’t gonna happen, what else has the Pres been up to? Luckily he didn’t marry again, and no other illegitimate children have made their appearance.

Read this bit by Time magazine, brilliant… simply brilliant:

The British media, renowned for their sometimes witty, often outlandish headlines and a tone that can swing between cheeky and downright rude, have vilified Zuma for having five wives, calling him everything from a “sex-obsessed bigot” to a “vile buffoon.”

The Daily Mail may take the prize for the most outrageous coverage so far. Aside from the two quotes in the previous paragraph, the paper ran a caption beneath a front-page photo of Queen Elizabeth II with Zuma and his newest wife, Thobeka Madiba Zuma, reading: “Just Brought One Wife, Mr. Zuma?” The Mail also commented on what it called Zuma’s “colorful life,” which consists of “five wives, a love child with the daughter of one of his political allies, a criminal trial for alleged rape of an HIV-positive woman and corruption charges.” Not stopping there, the paper reported that Zuma had paid “a sort of tribal deposit on a future bride.” (See pictures of South Africa.)

Another prominent newspaper, The Independent wrote that “given the range of distinctly ropey state visitors she has greeted during her 58 years on the throne,” the “distinctly monogamous” Queen Elizabeth was unlikely to be fazed by the visit. The character bashing continued with the Daily Telegraph, which reported that of “all the colorful characters who have visited the Palace during her [Queen Elizabeth] 58 years on the throne … the South African president is probably the first to have faced a multitude of criminal charges.” Zuma was charged with rape five years ago, but he was acquitted at trial. He also faced charges of fraud, racketeering, money laundering, tax evasion and corruption — but all were dropped before last year’s general elections.

Malema

Upon Zuma’s arrival back, Malema the ANC youth leader said the following on the bad press Zuma received:

“These British racists continue to live in a dreamland and sadly believe that Africans are still their colonial subjects, with no values and principles,” the league said in a statement. “They believe that the only acceptable values and principles in the world are British values of whiteness and subjugation of Africans.”

Eish.. It’s always about race is it not Mr. Malema…

Only in SA, only in SA…

Zuma’s libido makes World LOL at SA.

I was not shocked to hear about this news at all. If you live in South Africa, if you are a South African, then you are better off just accepting that this countries leaders are chosen by the majority, and that the choice of the majority, although it is indeed a democratic one, is far from the best choice ever. Case in point President Zuma.

Who once again hit the headlines because of his inability to keep his crown jewels in his pants. He admitted to being the father of illegitimate child with a woman whom is NOT one of his 3 wives (not counting the one he is engaged to recently and set to marry soon). He simply dismissed the issue saying that payment was made that was owed, and lets get on with it…

WTF?  Never mind the fact the woman is Xhosa, and he is Zulu, and if he is clinging to his “culture” so strongly that this would be an even bigger no-no. He is exactly opposing his own HIV/AIDS campaign. the definition of hypocrite comes to mind?

Zuma’s behavior has “set us back at least a decade in the fight against HIV/AIDS,” said a stern-faced Helen Zille, leader of the opposition Democratic Alliance Party

Well… this is South Africa after all, I can only hope that the majority of this country get educated as soon as possible, so they can finally think for themselves and realize you don’t choose a leader based on culture or loyalty, but based on his ability to lead. Sounds pretty obvious… but not if you live in South Africa.
