Elcectronic Guitar Shirt

Wear Rock! How awesome is this shirt!! From my favorite Geek site, ThinkGeek:
c498_electronic_rock_guitar_shirt_anim
Here at ThinkGeek were just wishing for a fully playable guitar built into a t-shirt when along came the Pixie of ROCK… she wailed with face melting guitar solo and *POOF* there it was in our hands… The Electronic Rock Guitar Shirt. We turned on the mini amp, cranked the volume to 11 and started to rock. As the Pixie explained, the Electronic Guitar Shirt is incredibly easy to play because each button on the neck is a major chord. She went on to mention how you can play dozens of classic rock songs with very little skill. However she warned us never to use the Guitar Shirt for evil lest, we are prepared to summon the Demon of Rock and duel to the death for musical supremacy.

Once again, pity we cant get this here in South Africa.

Police gang-rape woman

corrupt

Reading stories like this just makes want to go wild. It’s like there’s this person inside me, I don’t think he’s fully human, that want tear through my chest and be the cause of the most horrific crime or cause of pain ever imaginable. Reading a story like this makes me want to be a freaking Hitman, Rambo, call me whoever and track these barbaric cops down and kidnap them, where I will slowly make them experience a world of pain like no-one has ever known, for years and years I will torture them. I will break them down until they want to live no more. That is what I want to do with guys like these..

A couple in Kemton park was detained by Police outside their home one evening when they were returning from a braai. The husband was locked in the van while the woman was gang-raped by the police officers. Read the story here.

Charges have been laid, but I don’t think anything will happen. Now.. where the F*#$ is CSI I ask you? Where the F$^ is the investigators trying to catch these bastards and get fingerprints, DNA, whatever kind of evidence to bring these people to justice? Where? Is our country truly so F&$ed up that we cant even catch people like these? Is our Police force truly so corrupt that even if they are caught, they will be set free by our legal system who is just as corrupt? when is enough enough?

Revolution I tell you. go to news24 and read some of the stories on there. Our Police force are mentioned in more stories of corruption, rape and theft than actually doing any good. I am starting to think we will be better off without a police force. Give the nation guns and have them protect themselves. Back to to Wild-West I tell you… aah… time for a smoke, that will make me feel better.

Cheers
V.

Fringe: The Observer Observes every episode

the-observerI remember seeing the observer in a few episodes of Fringe, there… in the background.. seemingly unnoticed. I did a bit of Googleing and what do you know, seems like he has made an appearance in EVERY episode! I am definitely going to go back and try and find him.

Here’s a few screenshots of where he has been sighted, catch him if you can! It’s like where’s Wally, only its the Observer.

Questions still remain on exactly who he/they is/are. All we know is..

They observe.

R.I.P Geocities

geocities

If you have your ears on the vibrations on the Interwebs Today, then you will pick up that there’s a sad vibe doing it’s rounds. Today marks the day when Yahoo’s Geocities closes. For Good. Now if you dont know what Geocities is, then that’s good for you, but let me take a moment just sit right there.. I’ll tell you how Geocities played a role in shaping the web into what it is Today.

Geocities was the place where the FIRST wanna-be web designers started out, it was the FIRST place that allowed for the common guy to work on his web skills in an environment that was free, and create his own website. Most of you will no-doubt recognize some of these web-sites. the scrolling marquee, the flashing “under construction” gifs. Classic. I started out with a Geocities website. It was the SHeeiiit!!

This from Mashable:

Back in the proverbial day, GeoCities was the place where many a modern-day internet nerd cut his or her teeth. After a spectacular dot com purchase of $3.65 billion and an equally spectacular dot com bust, its closure marks the end of one of the earliest ages of the social web.
Yahoo, of course, has been busy slimming down and cutting costs under CEO Carol Bartz. With the company’s focus elsewhere, it makes sense to shut down what is essentially an internet relic. Still, to those who look back with nostalgia, October 26 could well be a wistful day.

XkCd is paying tribute to the departure of Geocities, and converted their entire website to a Geocities look-feel. Have a look (Update: In case you missed it, and they have changed it back, I added the image).

ComedyCentral also has a nice Tribute post. Read it.
