Lists and more lists, I love them. Next up is the top Memes for 2009. Now surely this is up for debate, but if you look at a few sources, all reputable, you get a general idea of those top Memes that thrilled the world:

For the sake of the uneducated, this is what a Meme is:

An internet phenomenon or a meme is an image, video, phrase or simply an idea that spreads from one person to another seemingly for no logical reason at all. When people see a meme, no matter how silly it usually is, they find it amusing for one reason or other and forward it to their friends; soon millions of people know about it, thanks to how fast the information can spread online and the viral effect. So, in no particular order…

1. Susan Boyle: The 47-year old Susan Boyle appeared on “Britain’s Got Talent” and mesmerized the audience (and the judges) with her jaw-droppingly awesome voice. Check it here.

2. Squirrel Crasher:

A squirrel who photobombed a nice young couple’s timed vacation photo at a Canadian lake has become internet famous.

3. JK Wedding Dance: This video of a wedding entourage entering the church in Chris Browns “forever” is simply awesome! Most of it’s fame came after it was shown on a TV show, and from there it shot up, even woman-beater Chris Brown’s song became popular because of this. Click.

4. Charlie bit me: Extremely funny video of  “Charlie” the baby who bites his brothers finger. You simply have to watch this. Why this became a Meme is beyond me. Simply not logical. Click

5. Christian Bale freak-out: On the set of Terminator, Christian Bale went berserk on one of the poor guys on the set. Extremely bad language used. It quickly leaked onto the internet, and BoooOOoomm, instant fame. check this remix here.

6. Kanye West at the VMAs: This is my personal favorite. If you don’t know about this then you my friend have been living under a rock. Kanye’s stupid stunt became instant meme material, it gave birth to a gazillion parodies and “Imma let you finish” caption images. Check here. Even Pres. Obama called him a Jack-ass.

7. David After Dentist: This is a hilarious video about a boy who goes to the dentists, and due to the sedatives that was given to him, he goes into a dream type depression state, questioning life and reality. Simply Classic. Click.
