Combo Friday Baby!

There we have, Friday GLORIOUS FRIDAY! It’s just staggering how fast time is going by, before you know it it is weekend. Still this has been a long weekend.

In the meantime I managed to catch up on some Series, I watched the end of Dollhouse, which ROCKED! These writers need to be constantly threatened with cancellation and then we will see some of the best series out there.

Dollhouse got canceled halfway through season 2, which meant the remainder of the season was simply AMAZING! If you started watching Dollhouse but fell of the wagon, then I recommend start with season 2 again, squeeze through those first 4 episodes, and then hold on… cause you are about to see some serious Dollhouse action!

In other news, check out this fold-able wind powered gadget, that’s right, you can take your green-powered wind turbine with you. Portable and all… Click

USB Batteries. What a Great invention, check the proper review on Urbansprout, which had a look at the USB Batteries. You charge them by flipping the cap, sticking it into your PC, charge the AAA and there you have it!

Enjoy!

The Last Airbender

One of my favorite directors M. Night Shyamalan is set to release his next masterpiece. The Last Airbender. The story follows the adventures of Aang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations. Get ready for some serious action, which is a bit different for M.Night, Check out the latest poster:

BoooOOOooommM! The iPad!

Can you feel it? Can you just FEEEEL the internets buzzing with one word…iPad!! After rumors for over a decade (apparently) Apple finally did it, lauched a tablet PC. From the first couple of impressions I read, I got quite a few “It’s nothing more than a big iPod”, and “It’s terrific, but I dont see a practical use for it” comments. The iPad has the following specs:

- It’s a half-inch thick and weighs just 1.5 pounds, with a 9.7-inch capacitive touchscreen IPS LCD display

- Running a custom 1GHz Apple “A4″ chip

- 10-hour battery life and a month of standby.

- It’ll come in 16, 32, and 64GB sizes.

- There’s a 30-pin Dock connector, a speaker, a microphone, Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFi and optional 3G.

- There’s also a keyboard dock.

- Support for up to 1024×768 VGA out and 480p composite.

- A camera attachment kit that lets you import photos from your camera over USB or directly through an SD reader.

- It starts at $499 for 16GB, 32GB for $599, and $699 64GB. Adding 3G costs a $130 per model, so the most expensive model (64GB / 3G) is $829.

So will I ever use a iPad, ot tablet for that matter… nope, never.

SOAD to reunite?

There are a few bands that I would really LOVE to reunite. Get past their differences, and simply reunite. Audioslave, but that’s never going to happen, because Rage Against the Machine were always going to get back together, and give Chris Cornell the finger, so we have to do with the 3 Brilliant albums Audioslave produced. The other one is System of a Down. Boy I loved the guys.

There’s been rumors flying around lately that they might get back together again. The rumor’s started when bassist Shavo said “Are u guys ready for System??’ on his Twitter. But dammit Serj tankian squashed them by saying the following:

We always have offers to play, from festivals and stuff, but we have not decided to do anything as of yet,” Serj tells Billboard.com. “We’re in touch. We talk. We call it an indefinite hiatus, and that’s how we still look at it. Nothing’s really changed.”

Aarrgg… one can only hope. They had one of the best websites ever.

Cheers

Avatar No.1 in the World.

We all kinda knew this was going to happen. Avatar became the world highest grossing movie ever, scraping past Titanic. Avatar racked up $1.8437 billion so far, just ahead of Titanic’s worldwide total of $1,843,201,268.

This is NOT taking inflation into consideration, which in my opinion is something you have to do… Plus Avatar had all these 3-D screenings and Imax screenings which is way more expensive.

Still, I’d much rather prefer Avatar on top that Titanic
