Tiger Woods’ ass gets kicked

Ok let me start by saying that I think Tiger is the best golfer the world has ever seen. But this doesn’t mean he is some kind of demi-God (not that he is saying he is) that never deals with the normal crap us everyday people have to deal with. He is a human being just like the rest of us, which means he it’s perfectly normal to have a little family tiff every now and then. BUT.. because the world has elevated him to the status of celebrity, unfortunately he is subject to having every detail of his life splashed all over the news papers…

…like his car crash not even 100 meters out of the drive way over a fire hydrant into a tree.

Luckily he wasn’t hurt too bad. Rumors are running rife about his wife actually chasing him with a 3 wood. smashing his window as he left the house. We will never know. He did have this to say on his website:

This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.

This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.

The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.

Cheers Mr.Woods, domkop of the week!

Finished: Modern Warfare 2

I also spent a lot of time playing Modern Warfare 2 this weekend. Check my initial post here on my first impressions on the game. Through out the entire game I found myself shouting “Holy shit this awesome!”, and “Oh shit..Booooom”. I was swept away…
Its more than just a FPS.
COD
The game play is exactly the same as the previous call of duty, but what is new is the addition of more of these intermediate-stages, which is almost not really typical to a FPS game. Example, you have to run through the streets of Iraq and find your evac-chopper, no gun, avoid bullets flying all over the place. Jump…to the chopper. Will you make it?

The imagery was fantastic, seeing the War reach Americas own shores. Looking at a demolished and burning White house is quite something. After finishing the game you have quite a few special ops missions, which was a great surprise. This is my type of Game. Loved it. Game of the Year.

Pandorum

The movie of the weekend was Pandorum. I posted about this upcoming Sc-Fi Thriller a while back. “Pandorum” stars Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster and a sexy french chick. In the film, Quaid and Foster star as two crew members of a space ship who awake with no memories of their mission or themselves, alone on the giant ship. Gradually the two discover they are not alone, and that something about the ship’s mysterious mission has gone horribly wrong. The story line was something .. different. We are seeing more and more post apocalyptic movies, or as in this case, movies where the Earth has become a desolate wasteland and this space ship is Earth’s last hope to find a habitable planet.

Pandorum is a psychological condition brought on by extended periods of hyper-sleep (suspended animation) and its symptoms and effects, including severe paranoia, vivid hallucinations, and homicidal tendencies.

Good film, but it’s not match to the Swietie man Wickus Van der Merwe in Dsitrict 9.

My Dad is Charles Manson.

mansonImagine hearing that your Dad is none other than one of the world’s most notorious and insane serial killers…Charles Manson. This is what happened to Matthew Roberts, who was on a mission to find his biological parents, and then discovered the above mentioned fact. Hectic Bro!

Charles Manson was finally sent to jail for a life sentence after he was convicted of conspiracy to commit the Tate/LaBianca murders and other Slaughters also known as Helter Skelter. These crimes was carried out by himself and members of his family. The Manson family. Matthew says that he has been communicating with his dad, who has been sending him letters. You have to read the Wiki entries on Charles, this man was truly doomed as a normal citizen from the day he was born…

After reading most of the Manson and what he and his family/gang did, I cant help but think that it’s not that bad. In total he was convicted of 9 murders. These days a person isn’t even called a serial killer for killing 9 people. I think it’s a combination of things though, times were different back then. These days is more ‘common’ (boy it feels horrible typing this) to see people get killed.

charlesLetter

Anyway, back to the point. So Matthew now has to deal with the fact that his dad is Charles Manson. Personally I believe it should not make a difference. But you know how people are, imagine if Hitler had a kid.

Your future is in your hands, no matter who your Dad is.
